2012 UEFA European Football Championship in Ukraine and Poland.

April 18, 2008 Executive Committee UEFA chose the Ukraine and Poland as countries hosting the European football championship from the five contenders.
Other countries that have applied for holding games, were: Italy, Croatia / Hungary, Turkey and Greece.
Although Ukraine has not had more experience of such large events, our country has been chosen for the promotion of football, sports and healthy lifestyles.
UEFA and its president Michel Platini to the last moment were not sure that Poland and Ukraine will have time to prepare sports facilities and resolve organizational issues, but it seems their fears were misplaced. Currently, almost all sports facilities in Ukraine are ready or close to completion.
UEFA Euro 2012 will take place between 8 June and 1 July 2012 in the following cities: Poland - Warsaw, Poznan, Gdansk and Wroclaw; Ukraine - Kiev, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Lviv.
The official logo for the championship was presented to the world on 14 December 2009. The logo is made in the form of the flower, buds of which are painted the colors of Ukrainian and Polish flags, and a ball in the center.

In Kiev, Donetsk and Lviv was decided to build a new, modern stadiums, and in Kharkiv reconstruct the old. Also in Kharkiv and Lviv are working on the reconstruction of airfields. All cities have built modern hotel. Ukrainian Railways plans to launch by 2012, several high-speed and modern trains.
In addition, organizers of the championship was decided to modernize and build new roads.
